About the exhibition
Drawn from three decades of excavation, this exhibition gathers sixty marbles, bronzes, and terracottas from the Cyclades and the Greek mainland.
Low, raking light restores something of the drama these figures once held inside temple precincts and tombs.
Curators pair each sculpture with the fragment of text — hymn, epitaph, or inventory — that names its subject.
